As many of you know, I have moved to Fort Walton Beach due to my job. With this happening a few days ago I am calling it quits on NEndurance. I did have one interested party available yet didn't have time to convert it over to them.
Over the last two years, I've been able to provide a tool, calendar to help people in Nebraska know what local running, cycling, tri's, duathlons and events were happening in our great state. I helped promote the local events (minus one time when I promoted Spartan Race with them providing a free entrance to their event.)
I've seen over the last two years a change in the Omaha running scene as the GOATZ have expanded to bring trail running as an alternative running method to this city. I've seen Omaha gain it's first ultramarathon, I've also seen Lincoln (with Ben and Jason's Market to Market Relay) gain its first ultramarathon as well. It has been great to see events like 5K The Hard Way being successful.
I also had the pleasure to form Feast and Feathers Trail Races on Thanksgiving morning with my friend Amy last year. I'm so happy for this event to be so successful! We have given back so much to Food Bank for the Heartland. I also was able to form Couples Therapy 8K for Valentine's weekend last year...again giving back to the local community supporting the Madonna School for Exceptional Children.
We have also seen a new running store come into Omaha and providing a little competition that this city has needed. I only say this because I believe every city needs competition. Competition is good as long as it is friendly.
I was happy to be able to support my friend Carl after the Boston Marathon bombings and sell bracelets for One Fund Boston at the Lincoln Marathon.
In the end, this has been a great time. It has also been very daunting trying to keep the site up when it was very one person based.
I have been happy to promote races, give race giveaways, give stuff away, take photos at local events or even volunteer many times locally.
I thank you all for your support. It has been very appreciative. As for NEndurance, this site is coming to an end. The only way I can keep it going is if a group comes to me to take over the site. I've also entertained the idea of teaming up and selling Nebraska themed endurance merchandise. I hope to have a decision made by the end of the year.
Again, thank you for all your support!

The Lincoln Industries Cycling Classic
September 28-29, 2013
The Lincoln Industries Cycling Classic is a two day celebration of cycling featuring competitive and non-competitive events for all ages, Saturday and Sunday, September 28-29, 2013 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Proceeds from the Lincoln Industries Cycling Classic will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Lincoln/Lancaster County.
Saturday will feature the Lincoln Industries Gran Fondo. The Gran Fondo originated in Italy and translates to “big ride.” A Gran Fondo is to cyclists what a Marathon is to runners. There are three routes that offer different levels of challenge, providing cyclists of all levels the opportunity to participate. All three routes will start and finish at the new Pinnacle Bank Arena. Following the rides, stick around for the festival and enjoy food, music, exhibitors and kids activities, including a bike stunt show featuring Chris Clark.
Sunday will feature the Lincoln Industries Capitol City Criterium, the longest running cycling race in Nebraska. A “criterium” is a term for short course or track. Riders will race on the roads around the Pinnacle Bank Arena. The criterium racing discipline is one of the most exciting forms of bike racing to watch with riders exceeding speeds of 30 mph. With races offered for first time racers up to elite level, the Lincoln Industries Capitol City Criterium offers an opportunity for men and women of all ages.
